Memorial Day Fun

Hello World.

     How was your Memorial Day weekend?  Remember that Memorial day is when everyone remembers the soldiers who fought in different wars who gave their lives for our country.

     Our class along with other classrooms and other departments had a cookout on Friday May 24th.  We had  hamburgers, macaroni salad, potato salad,and baked beans. Boy, the food was great. We also had watermelon.

   I had some relatives that came to visit my family from Coral Springs. My  Aunt Jane and my cousins Ashley and Ethan came to see us and we all had lots of fun.

GARDENING AND MAY ACTIVITES

May is the time when everyone works in the yard or the garden., plant flowers, and celebrates  Mother's and Memorial Day.  Our class has been talking about gardening and mother's day so far. We planted some plants in a pot for that someone special for mother's day. We started planting some flowers and veggies in a big yellow dish in the court yard.

I went to a park to participate in the relay for life and sang in  the the choir. Boy did I have fun.

SPRING TIME IS HERE

Hello world,

       It's been awhile since my last blog, We finished up discussing about musical instruments. We made some homemade instruments such box guitar, a drum, kazoos. xylophones, maracas and  things that shake.

   Spring is here in Florida. warm weather and sunshine has arrive. Spring is time when flowers bloom, birds sing, people go to parks and have picnics, and spring cleaning.   We will be talking about spring activities, planting a garden, and spend more time outside.  We will start doing more things in the next few weeks. Hopefully we will do some planting in the court yard.

Happy Birthday, Saint Patrick's Day, and Easter

Hello World,

Guess what today is for me. It's my birthday!   So Happy Birthday to me!!  Also Saint Patrick's Day is coming up in a few days, followed by Easter. What a lot of things to celebrate in the next few weeks.

Our class is is ready for Saint Patrick's day. We learned about who Saint Patrick was, the history of, leprechauns, shamrocks, and pot of gold as well as  Ireland, the traditions, wearing green, and the luck of the Irish.  We learned quite a bit about the Irish people and who they are.It was really interesting.    Easter is coming up soon and we will be getting ready for the holiday. I'm looking forward to a special Easter basket and lots of crafts.

Happy Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTIN'S DAY!!

 Happy Valentines Day!!!!  Love is in the air. This day is a special day for someone special to be someones valentine. Our class has been decorating the room with hearts and other valentine stuff. We made cards for that someone special in our lives. My driver, Mark, who picks me up and brings me home, had a birthday this past week. We even had cake to celebrate his birthday in the classroom. So I hope everyone had a great valentine day with someone special.

new year, new adventures

Hello World

   I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.  New year brings new beginnings, new ideas, and a  way to start a new chapter in our lives.
    This month  our classroom is talking about food and nutrition and exercise. So far we have talked about the food groups, and vitamins. We also talked about the importance of good nutrition and the vitamins that is  in our diet.  We will talking about minerals and exercising later this month..  New year is when everyone starts to do some major cleaning in their house or some changes in their lives or home..

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The year has come to the end and a new year will begin. This will be the last blog for the year until after the new year.
 Our class has been talking about Christmas this month.We put up some Christmas decorations in our classroom and on the bulletin board.   So far we learned  about trees and the significance of the trees. This week we are talking about snow and what we can do in the snow. Later this month we will talk about the true meaning of Christmas, Santa Claus, his reindeers  and the new year. Christmas is when everyone has a wish list of things they want for Christmas. On my wish list is a mp3 player so I can listen to my own music. Christmas is also when people travel to see family in other places.
